The tree grows so fast and gets too tall that provides dense shade so that other plants can't compite with it over the sun light.
Is my sentence correct?
Shade is sometimes countable and sometimes uncountable. When I talk about plants, ''shade''
is C or U.
Thank you for your reply.

You are correct. "Shade" is not countable when used like this. I am not sure when "shade" would be countable. Some people refer to sunglasses as "shades."
I agree with SoothingDave but there are also other meanings for "shades":

As the others have said, you are right about the use of "shade". However, your sentence is not very natural.
