    Are these sentences correct:

    1-We can find the truth from him.
    2-We can find out the truth from him.

    Meaning: We can obtain the truth from him. (maybe we'll just have to ask him.;maybe we'll have to pay him; maybe we'll have to force him to talk...)

    For this, I would use "find out" because you mean "discover". You can use either your second sentence or "We can find the truth out from him".
