    I wonder if "calling" is gerund or anything.
    If "calling" is gerund, I wonder why "calling" is gerund.

    You've got a lot of nerve, calling me at this time of night.

    Search this forum for "-ing forms." There have been many discussions on this topic. One which may be particularly helpful is "Difference between gerund and present participle." Sorry I couldn't link it.
