    Default take great pains

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to give me your considered opinion concerning the interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

I took great pains with the planning of my lessons, using illustrations from the familiar things of their own background.

take great pains= make a special effort

    V.

    Hi amigos4,

    Thank you for your kindness.

Among other things, you have to know, that my new teacher in Varna is from Arisona.

    Regards,

    V.
