1. I will have to check on it. OK w/"have to check", e.g. Q: What's the status of my reservation?
2. I didn’t know they still did/do that. (A person graduated from my school in 1970 said something like that to a person graduated in 1990. They were talking about an annual function.) Either one is OK, but I prefer "do" especially with "still", as in "continue to do that".
3. What is your definition of (a) geek? Either is OK but "a" isn't necessary.
