Default Using 'zero out' as verb

Can it be said of a person that "he was zeroed out"? -- meaning that he was reduced to zero, had no power, had no voice, was like a piece of furniture.

What other verbs could express that? Thank you.

I've only seen it used for budgets, plans, etc. You could use an expression like a busted flush.
