HELP with the expression "another aspect is"

Dear teachers,

While i was reading Macbeth I came across this sentence:

"Another aspect is the gaps in the play,what Shakespeare does not tell us."

Why is the vb ' to be' singular?
The vb is followed by a plural noun so wouldn't it be:
Another aspect are the gaps. or
The gaps are another aspect.

Please help me with this matter!

Because 'is' refers to 'another aspect' which is singular.

Is about the description of the Character of Lady Macbeth :

One aspect of her fascination is that she is a strong female character who dominates her initially weaker husband.Another aspect is the gaps in the play, what Shakespeare does not tell us.We cannot really be sure how much the Macbeths love each other,to what extend their relationship is based on love and passion,or to what extent they are only a 'power couple ' bound together by ambition.

The word gaps is referred to the interruptions of the play.
