Hi,
I want to use this phrase but I don't know which proposition to use: "if you compare the prices of two houses in/on/at Elm street"
would my answer becomes different if instead of "Elm street" I want to use "the same street"
As a speaker of BrE I would use 'in' for both. I hear 'on', even from speakers of BrE. 'at' is not possible.

Daniellll, note that it's "preposition", not "proposition".
See: proposition - definition of proposition by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia. and preposition - definition of preposition by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.
"On" for Americans.
