First of all, thank you very much to join here.
Dear sir,
'A copy of my curriculum vitae is enclosed with copies of previous testimonials'
It is a sentence from a book named Model Business letters, E-mails. My question
is why 'the' not used before copies.I think, it is definite, as it indicates the copies of particular things(testimonials).
Hope I will get my answer.![]()
Can anyone suggest me a book about articles with lots of usages and examples?![]()

It doesn't matter that they are copies of particular things, they are still just referred to as "copies". If anything, the missing word would be "some".
I have enclosed copies of my CV.
Enclosed are copies of my application form.
Please send copies of your bank statements.
However, once those copies have been involved, they would thereafter attract the article.
I have enclosed copies of my CV.
Thank you. We received the copies successfully.
Last week, I sent copies of my passport to you.
I can confirm that we received the copies of your passport.
You are too kind!
