Dear teachers,
I would like to know what the "fire facsimile" means in the following sentence:
"Many top restaurants have an open fireplace or fire facsimile near the entrance of the restaurant to recreate the effects of the fire that burned at the ancient cave feasts."
Much appreciated if a picture could be given. Thanks.
I have not heard of 'fire facsimiles'. I am not sure what I would call these things. This company calls them 'flame effect fires': EnviraFlame - The new electric fire from Paragon Fires.
This one calls them 'coal effect fires': http://www.interneeds.com/gasfire.htm
