Hello,
I'm having a problem in a sentence.
Thank God, my Czech friend from the dinner table came by and asked me whether I would like to play chess. Luck would have it, I did play.
In this sentence what does 'Luck would have it' mean?
If you can explain the meaning I'll be so glad :)
Thanks!
