Someone asked me this two odd sentences. I wonder what they mean :P
" And a child that's born on the Sabbath day "
" Is fair and wise and good and gay. "
It's a rhyme from a verse that had been around for a while. I don't think it really means anything, but it could have something to do with the belief by some people that a person's personality is determined by his day of birth.

I also presume that 'gay' means happy here and is not a reference to sexual orientation.![]()
