    Unhappy Differences in vocabulary

Hi!!! The other day a classmate asked me the difference between certain words and I wish you could help me. I have looked for them, but I'm still confused.

The words are: Pollution and Contamination (What's the main difference if there's any? and whene are they commonly used?)

Also the words: issues, problems and trouble (is there a big difference among them? or they can be used indifferently)

I hope you can help so that I can use them correctly. Thanks again for your time!

While they are generally synonyms, polluted may refer to slight to moderate tainting, possibly tolerable or not serious. Contaminated carries a more serious meaning of serious tainting, with dangerous, even deadly, consequences.

Also - pollution is used often to describe the air, while contamination is used more often with water. And food is never polluted, its contaminated.
