Hello, I couldn't understand te meaning of second sentence. Here is two men talking about going to a gym. And the second guy does not willing so much going there. But what is he meaning actually?
“You get yourself together and bring your carcass down here tomorrow after breakfast. How does that grab you?”
“If I’m not snagged on the end of somebody’s needle.”
Thanks.
It's a little bit difficult text and the sentences are independent. As I said here two men talking. One is patient and the other is his doctor. Doctor wants him to go gym and do exercise more. This conversation is about going to gym I guess. Because after they enter the gym, doctor starts to talk and says:
“You get yourself together and bring your carcass down here tomorrow after breakfast. How does that grab you?”
Then patient says:
“If I’m not snagged on the end of somebody’s needle.”
I couldn''t understand both of sentences. What they are talking about?

(1) I think the first sentence is "easy":
(a) Get yourself together. = Get prepared (get up early, eat, dress, etc.).
(b) Get your carcass down here. = Bring your body to the gym.
(c) How does that grab you? = Do you think that you can do what I have just
suggested?
(2) I have never heard the second sentence. Without more dialogue between
the two men, it is impossible to know what it means. Nevertheless, I discussed this
with my brother. He had an idea. IF it is correct, he deserves 100% credit. I never
thought of it. First, you need to know two important words:
(a) to snag = to catch or get caught. For example, I snagged my sweater on
a rose bush. I have to take it to a tailor to sew it up.
(b) a needle = a needle to sew; a needle that a doctor uses to put medicine into
your body.
Well, my brother thinks that the patient's words mean something like:
OK, doctor. I shall be at the gym tomorrow if I am not caught on the end of
one of your needles trying to put medicine into my body!

If someone comes up with a better explanation, I promise to delete this part of my post.
I really appreciate and thank both of you and your brother! I would never think like this and in my opinion this is a nice explanation of that sentence. Because he's so bored of being needled and giving samples to the doctors. So it seems to me correct. Thank you very much for your detailed explanation and also your brother for giving the idea :D
