Default difficult to understand "is just as proud of.."

But Alessi is just as proud of his flops.
This sentence is difficult for me to understand.
If it was just " Alessi is proud of his flops." I think I can understand it.
Please simplify the sentence for me.

"just as pround" = equally as proud of these as he is of something else. I assume that was discussed earlier.

He is proud of his successes (I assume). But he is equally proud of his failures.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Thank you.
I am now understand what it means.
The passage mentioned earlier : Revel in your glorious failures. Dance on the borderline between success and disaster. Because that's where your next big breakingthrough will come from.
