1. I have a problem with present perfect continuous. Look at this sentence.
‘ I have been reading this book for weeks.’
Reading is finished?
2. I’m asking this question again. Please help me immediately if it’s possible.
Is this sentence correct? ‘There isn’t a little water’
There is much water. What does MUCH mean? A lot of or some or enough or
plenty

(1) I believe that it might be better to say:

(a) There is a lot of water.

(b) There isn't much water. (Only a little water)

(c) How much water is there?

As you can see, many people prefer to use "a lot of" in positive sentences; they often prefer to use "much" in negative sentences and in questions.



(2) One book (Practical English Usage) tells us that "a little" = some.

(a) Could I try a little wine?

(b) Give the roses a little water every day.

(c) "Some more soup?" "Just a little, please."
