Hello,
I assigned a group of first-year students to make a popplet presentation about their three dream jobs. Here are the lines from one of the presentations:
As well as photographers, designers have a lot of space to express themselves in order to show other people their thoughts and ideas, the way they can see a really stylish person.
I am not sure about 'space' in this context. 'Ways' or 'means' are better in my opinion.
What do you think?
Thank you for the time and help.
Yes, but I don't think "space" means "ways and means" here. The number of ways they have to express themselves isn't the issue. I think it's the breadth or depth of freedom and opportunity that is meant. They are given more artistic licence than other people. I agree "space" isn't the right word though. Maybe, "freedom to express" is better.
Maybe "leeway" is the intended meaning.
However, the last part of the sentence has me mystified.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
Hello,
I have taught only a few classes in this group. The girl who made this presentation is very diligent. Besides, she has not lost respect for teachers some of them do the moment they leave school..
And she diligently made a popplet presentation.
To unmystify you, here is a link:

I hope it works because sometimes these links do not if the owner of the popplet has not invited you by email.
Sincerely,
