SPELLING OF A WORD ! My boss said in a meeting the following sentence:
We cannot appeal anymore because they send it back and say it is MUTE!
How do you spell the last word in this sentence? Mute?
I believe he is saying it makes no difference when you submit the paperwork, as the information has changed therefore it is MUTE!

Moot point.I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
