    Default the moon mean

    Hello is this sentence,

"He’s got all the good intentions in the world. Heart of gold.Wants to buy the moon for his little girl’s birthday." means

"He is well-intentioned person and has a heart as a gold. He wants to buy the Moon for his daughter as a birthday gift"???? Is the speaker talking about the Moon or something else?

    Thanks.

He's talking about the Moon - but as a metaphor for 'anything she wants, however unrealistic it may be'.
