    Default bound book

What does the word 'bound' mean here? Does it mean 'can be taken on a trip'? and Does it function as an adjective?

Booklet is a small bound book or pamphlet, usually having a paper cover.

Thanks! Then the word 'bound book' and 'pamphlet' are more or less opposites, aren't they?

'Opposites' is not a word I'd use here. A pamphlet is a very thin book, with a cover of the same paper as the pages, possibly held together only by a paper clip.
