    Default You meeting Jean?

    Hello!
In the King's Speech movie, Lionel said to his son :
    - You meeting Jean?
Do you consider this as a mistake or it is common to speak that way?
    Thanks a lot

It's a common colloquially truncated version of 'Are you meeting Jean?'

You'll also hear the even shorter: 'Meeting Jean?'

    REMINDER: NOT A TEACHER

Kindly remember that speakers of English (like speakers of other languages?)

    often drop words in conversation.

    (1) (Do you) want some?

    (2) (Is it) dinner time already? (It's) hard to believe.

    (3) (I'll go) if you go.
