    Default right/left - different perspectives

    Hello,

Do I understand it correctly that 'on somebody's left' can mean 'to the right of somebody' depending on the perspective? For example, there is a photo of a group of children, among whom are Peter and Tom.

    X X X Peter Tom X X

For example, from Peter's perspective: Tom is on Peter's left
From the viewer's perspective: Tom is on/to the right of Peter.

    Is everything correct?
    Thank you.

Tom is alway's on Peter's left, from anybody's perspective. For people looking at the picture, Tom is on/to the right of Peter (or on Peter's left!)
