I quote from the Concise Oxford English Dictionary (Tenth Edition)Now would you please tell me whether you accept this sentence ( He often goes there on sunday )from a grammer book or not?
Sunday--adv. chiefly N. Amer. on Sunday = on Sundays = each Sunday.
"on Sunday" is an American usage which means "on Sundays" and note "Sunday" has become an adverb and no longer a noun
(BTW, I am not a teacher.)
Thank you so much Temico for the time and your help.![]()
خوش امديد---I hope I wrote it correctly----
WOW, you know farsi? How come?By the way you wrote it correctly.![]()
Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't know Farsi.
My dear friend, I would be glad to tell you anything about farsi,if you have any question?![]()
Thanks for your offer but I don't have the time to tackle another language. I am now occupied with my Arabic studies which is, indeed, a difficult language to master.
Good Luck![]()
hello,
is that
he often goes there on Sunday=he often goes there on Sundays?
I agree with Tdol, the plural is not needed but then again it's not prohibited.
He often goes there on Sunday.
