    I have had a dispute with one of my friends about the following problem.
    Is this sentence correct:"In conclusion, sit down and shut up before trip over your own tongue and hurt yourself"?

    "In conclusion, I would advise you to/it would be advisable for you to sit down and shut up before you trip over your own tongue and hurt yourself"
