Hi
I was told there are some errors in the sentences below but I can't find out. Please help.
1. Mary isn't worth being angry with.-- Totally clueless
2. We went hunting a lion in the forest last week-- Would it make more sense by cutting out 'a'?
Not my homework.
You can't mix your examples with your questions like this. Is "Totally clueless" part of your example (a comment on Mary)? Or have you finished with your example, and are now commenting on yourself? You probably know the answer to that, but we don't. This is why we use quoting. Put your examples in quotes.
If 2 is "We went hunting a lion in the forest last week", it would be best to change "a lion" to "lions".
PS: The above suggestion of "We went hunt for a lion ..." is not correct.
