Default can't make out a few words from a podcast

    Hello,

I'm writing the script of a podcast downloaded from the BBC website, and cannot make out a few words.

    I'm having difficulties at 01:55

... but we show no such caution and modesty when it comes to conversation. Here, we blithely assume that all ball??? goes well so long as the place settings retractive?? and the sausages properly grilled. And yet I hope ...

    and then at 02:35

I wonder why we go so wrong. Shyness has a lot to answer for. We get scared of opening our souls, because we falsely exaggerate the difference between ourselves and others. We imagine that others don’t share our own abilites?? or interests.

And the last one at 08:30

.... our pleasure at the meeting indicating that we’ve found a piece of ourselves, a sentence or two built of the very substance of which our own minds are made. A congruence ??? all the more striking if we’ve only just then made acquaintance.

The podcast can be listened to online here: BBC - BBC Radio 4 Programmes - A Point of View, The Art of Conversation

If anyone could spare a couple minutes of their time on this, I'd be more than grateful.

I wonder why we go so wrong. Shyness has a lot to answer for. We get scared of opening our souls, because we falsely exaggerate the difference between ourselves and others. We imagine that others don’t share our own vulnerabilities or interests.

Not absolutely sure about the last one.

Thank you. Can we count vulnerability?
