I have written this paragraph about myself, I need your help to correct it in any way, or to add some extra words on it.

I grew up in a family in which all of its members have a Bachelor's degree, and that has helped me to be open-minded. The most important period of my life was started from the high school when I started designing a lot of posters for some organizations and shops in my town.I used to design electronically using the popular program Adobe Photoshop since I was 14 years old. I started to publish my designs on the forums, and asked for a criticism to improve myself. After that, I designed many of academic flyers and some of competitions. I didn’t take money for my work, because I just like to design and help, and it is one of my ways to express. This experience has helped me to get involved in my community and with people around me. I got many offers to work as a part-time job, but I refused them all. In addition, the high school period has the biggest change of my life when I felt in love with my cousin. She is the person who always encourages me and makes me optimistic when I am depressed. I take my energy from her. She is the most influence person on me and who always supports me to study in the US. Finally, I am living a new experience at NAU. To be away from your family and your home, that makes you a dependable person and puts on you more responsibilities. My lifestyle has changed since I came to NAU. Now I have to cock my food, wash my clothes, and pay for my apartment. One of the biggest changes is that I used to move from place to another by my car, but here I have to walk long distances or take a bus or a taxi. An important experience that I got here is how to be a reliable person and to be patient.
