    Default rooting mouth

    Dear teachers,

I'm looking for the meaning of rooting mouth in this context:

Georgia wrapped the baby and had me hold it. It had a tiny, squished nose and a rooting mouth.
Thanks a lot for your kindly help

"Rooting" in this context means the baby is moving its mouth around searching for nourishment.
