Please make the following in red clear for me.
Every story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. There's a narrative arc to every tale that allows the listener to be brought along and participate in the emotional transaction that takes place in the telling.
Does "narrative arc" refer to a narrative structure that looks like an arc (a bow), the peak point being the middle of the story? And does "transaction" mean "interaction" in the context?
Thank you.
Narrative arc is plot structure.
The narrative arc has the following components:
- Inciting incident
- Rising action or plot complication
- Climax or turning point
- Resolution
