    I was about to order an item when they sent me this message in response to a question I asked
    we will attend to your ticket as soon as possible. We've listed the details of the ticket you created below for your records..
    I don't know what a ticket is. It reminds me of those literal-translated spams.

    "ticket" is like a little record that deals with a certain issue (problem). It could be related to your inquiry. They are going to work on the issue for which the ticket is issued.

    It's used in IT support- if I contact our ISP with a problem, they issue a ticket, which is the reference number for that particular problem. It is standard usage and not poor translation. The number will then appear in all emails about the issue in the title.
