How do you answer this question?

I usually encounter this question whenever filling out registration forms.

How do I answer this?


Example: Relationship to attendee ____ (the attendee is my husband)

Does this mean my relationship to the person or his relationship to me? Do I answer "husband" (the attendee being my husband) or do I say "wife"?
