I listened to someone was talking "maybe" about positive thinking and she said we shouldn't say I have to go to school but instead I got to go to school and so on
What is the difference?
Thank you

You will hear it in the U.S. but "I got to go" is not correct as are many other "distortions" in AmE.

Are you sure she wasn't saying, "I've got to go..."? That is correct.
