Default Can someone check this sentence, please?

    Hi there

I am wondering if the following sentence is correct:

I am wondering if you put forward candidates for jobs, if they aren't already citizens or residents.

I know it can be rewritten, but I want to know if it is okay just as it is.

    Thanks heaps!

If that's what you want to say, it's fine. I'd drop the comma.

Thank you. The comma was exactly what I was unsure of!

    aaarrrghhh!

I said, "I'd drop the comma", not "It would be correct without the comma". I am happy to be quoted when I pontificate about grammar, but my views on punctuation are not to be considered as orthodox.
