I have been gradually improving my English over the years. Just recently I came across a website about Charles Kay Ogden he put together a plan for learners of English it gives the student sixteen basic verbs to let get them get a feel for the language. It has made me a lot more confident about writing it's a tight framework but it has gave me a kind of freedom to come up with sentences that say what I have on my mind.Anyway I'm at present getting my head around the 850 word vocabulary of this system. The hardest part of this is doing it on your lonesome. So if anyone has any experience of this it's called Basic- English please get back to me any response to my email will be appreciated. Some learners even see what I see in this unique first step to becoming a better writer.

Ogden's 'Basic English' was an interesting idea, many years ago. It is an alternative to learning the English we all know, not a step towards it.
