Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. I quickly fared well to my family and rushed through the security (I was narrating what happened at an airport).

2. I would rather I told those things to you face to face.

3. The guard was being unnecessarily friendly with me and calling me (a) ‘buddy’.
