movie he wanted to direct but denied. It’s really sportsmanlike of him to appear as a cameo in a movie he wanted to direct but denied.
Can anyone please tell me if the above sentence is grammatically correct, especially regarding the underlined part?
Should it be passive voice, like "but was denied"?
