    Thumbs down what is the difference between the two sentences?

    1.A good dress for the office

    2.A dress good for the office

    i do not understand the actual meaning of these sentences above.

    The main difference: Sentence 1 is correct and Sentence 2 isn't.

    I assume you mean a dress (piece of clothing) which is suitable to wear to the office (to work).

    The second doesn't work, but you can put the adjective after the noun in some contexts:

    Is this dress good for the office?
    I would use this question if I really wasn't sure whether the dress was appropriate or acceptable for the office. (note
