Learners can search information from the web and insert it to the sketch book.
Is this sentence good about the use of the verb 'search'? What verb will native speakers use in a context like this? Thank you in advance.
How about:
I am not sure what you mean by sketch book- a sketch book is for drawing and a notebook would be for information IMO.Learners can search for information from the web and insert it in the sketch book.
Thanks a lot, Tdol. I came across this sentence when I was searching on the Internet. I wasn't sure whether to use search or search for before the word 'information' and came here to consult you. But I didn't notice that there was a problem with the 'sketch book'. Maybe the author wanted to say 'ideas' by 'information'.
For me search information would be looking at the searches people make and not looking for information, so a search engine like Google has search information- they know what people are looking for at the moment.
