    Default One and a half hours of songs were performed in her honor

    If something is less than two, doesn't it have to be followed by a singular noun? Is "hours" correct or "hour"?

    ex)One and a half hours of songs were performed in her honor

    Numbers (including fractions and decimals) higher than one are followed by plural forms:

    One and a half pints of beer.
    One and three quarters miles.
    One point five kilograms.

    Just as a note, you will hear "one and three quarter miles" too (not "quarters").

    How many miles did he run?
    One and three quarters.

    How far did he run?
    One and three quarter miles.
