Can anybody point to or help me assemble a comprehensible list of common names of different animals?

This is, common names and proper names for adult / baby animals as well as related terminology.

For example: rooster, hen, cockerel, chicken-cock, chick, dorking, etc.

If this is unfeasible at least give me your appreciation and suggestions.

Well, you live and learn - I thought it was a megatypo for 'duckling'! (Students may want to know that 'Dorking' is also a place-name: Dorking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .)

To underline 5jj's point, classing 'dorking' with 'hen' is like classing 'German Shepherd" with 'dog'.
