    Talking Some doubts about grammar

I was wondering if you can help me with the following sentences:

    a) "There's lots of amazing experiences". I have seen this sentence in a British book. Shouldn't it be: "There are lots of amazing experiences."???

    b) In the sentence below, should I say:
"Like" / "As" everything in Brazil, the health system has many problems.

    Thanks for your help.

Well, I don't know where you came across such a negative generalization about Brazil. That's a pretty sad excuse for a sentence, but if you must. . . the correct first word would be "Like". Horrible sentence, if you ask me.

    Thanks for your help.

In British English, you will see 'there's + plural', but it is a colloquial usage and would be considered an error by many, so use the plural.
