We ........... so many friends on our previous visit to the pyramids and we .......... to each other since.
A) have made / write
B) make / are writing
C) will make / will write
D) are making / write
E) had made / have been writing
Key is E, shouldn't it be have made or made / have been writing?
It could be made, but not have made- they are still friends, but you are no longer making them and the visit has finished.
had made correct?
I can't imagine any circumstances in which it could be right. Perhaps some other teacher wil manage where I've failed.
