Default URENT need for help here! Thanks! T_T

Could anyone correct these sentences?

The Question is:
If you were Uncle George, what other ways would you try to get Tycho interested in studying law and government?

Answer 1:
If I were Uncle George, I would try to write a letter to Tycho and said that I wanted him to study law and government.

Another answer:
I would tell Tycho that if he studied law and government and helped in the ruling of the country, he could build many temples for the study of stars because he is rich.

Please help and correct the above two answers. Thanks, URGENT!

Answer 1:
If I were Uncle George, I would try to write a letter to Tycho and said that I wanted him to study law and government. (If I were Uncle George, I would write a letter to Tycho and say I want him to study law and government.)

Another answer:
I would tell Tycho that if he studied law and government and helped in the ruling of the country, he could build many temples for the study of stars because he is rich. (I would tell Tycho that if he studied law and government, and helped in running the country, he would become rich enough to build many temples to study the stars.)

Please help and correct the above two answers. Thanks, URGENT!
The sentences may be phrased as I have suggested, but there are other ways to say the same thing. By the way, why do you need temples to study the stars?

Note on the usage of try.

We might try to persuade somebody of something, because we are not certain to succeed at that. However, try is not associated with write a letter. That is because writing a letter is not something that is considered that difficult.
