    Default will or going to

    Hello,

I want to ask a question about will and going to.

Note:Both "will" and "be going to" can express the idea of a general prediction about the future. There is no difference in meaning.

.I will be 20 years old the next year

    and

.I am going to be 20 years old the next year.

    Are they same?

    Thanks....

    There often is a difference.
I will be 20 years old the next year ......I am going to be 20 years old the next year......
    .
    Are they the same?
These two particular utterances effectively have the same meaning.
