    Default How to explain..

    hi all,

can someone show me how to explain to someone about..

    "Do you mind?".."Yes I do mind"..."No I dont mind"..

A friend of mine asked me before whether can i explain this to her... She keep asking if we were asked this kind of question..
    i.e
-Do you mind if i take your chair?..

She confuse why did the answer would be "No I don't mind"..
She stressed out the word NO in that sentence but the actual meaning is (Yeah you can take my chair).

Can someone help me with this???

So sorry if my English make you guys confused.

'Do you mind?' has the idea of 'do you object?', 'will you be upset?

So, if someone asks "Do you mind if I take your chair?", and I answer "Yes", I am saying that I do object, that I do not want the person to take my chair.
