NOT A TEACHER
(1) I love journalism, so may I please contribute to this thread?
(2) The teachers will explain to you the grammatical reasons.
(3) I just wanted to stress the fact that newspapers usually use the
present tense in headlines.
(4) A newspaper is not a history book. It reports what happened in the last
24 hours. And websites are continually updating. So they tell us what has happened
5 minutes ago or this very second. The present tense gives the reader the feeling that
something has just happened.
(5) Headline: BIBSADIN POSTS QUESTION; SEEKS ANSWER

sought the answer to a very confusing matter about the use of tenses in newspapers.
