I would like to find out the difference between 2 words: 'sense' and 'meaning'. There are 4 questions containing words 'sense' and 'meaning', that are often met in various project works of students. So for me it's important to know in which contexts and combinations these words can be met, and moreover, which of these 4 questions are possible at all. So, please, judge, whether these questions are possible or not and why (or what's the difference between them)? QUESTIONS: 1. In which meaning is this word used? 2. In which sense is this word used? 3. Can this word be used in this meaning? 4. Can this word be used in this sense? Thank you very much!

I'd use 2 & 4, because 'sense' is used when there are different meanings.

tdol, so when we mean that a word is used in one of its meanings, we say 'the word is used in this or that sense'? Thanks!
