    Default shut up everyone?

Is it possible to say "You can't shut up everyone in this room"? Or should it be "You can't shut everyone up in this room?

I would consider "shut up" to be a separable phrasal expression used in either way.

I may be the only person that thinks this, but to me:

You can't shut up everyone in this room = You can't make all the people in this room stop talking or making any noise.

You can't shut everyone up in this room = You can't enclose all of these people in this room and then close/lock the door.

I agree. I immediately thought the same thing.
