Hi,
I know two questions, to me they seem to have the same meaning but I just want to check:
- Have you ever seen Nessie?
- Have you seen Nessie before?
The textbook I'm using only mentions the second sentence (one with "before"). Just wanted to double check that they do not have two very slight different meanings.
Thanks
Bizt
The second implies that you are seeing her now.
(Explanatory note for those who don't know: Nessie is a popular name for the Loch Ness Monster, whose existence is so far unproven.)
