Subject/Object question I was wondering... when there is an imperative sentence like 'eat the chocolate!' or 'ask the teacher!' are 'chocolate' and 'teacher' (the complements of the verbs) subjects or objects? I am confused because they are the only noun in the sentence and don't all sentences have to have a subject? But they are also the objects of the verb I think?
If anyone could help it would be great.

Re: Subject/Object question The chocolate is the object. "You" is the subject of the sentence. It's understood without having to be stated.
(You) eat the chocolate!
